Qigong opens up the whole body. Everyone – man or woman, old or young, strong or weak – can practice it. Slow, balanced, and perfectly coordinated, each movement strengthens and tones up a different muscle, tendon, or joint. With steady and constant practice the joints become suppler and the ligaments more flexible, and at the same time the muscles are exercised. Above all Qigong facilitates the circulation of Qi, the life force, in the acupuncture meridian system throughout the body, promoting both health and longevity.

In Qigong the breathing is relaxed and regular, long and deep. This breathing technique, together with the movements themselves, improves the abdominal circulation, thereby enhancing the function of the stomach and other organs.
